Korea Hapkido Federation - USA

I am sincerely humbled and eternally grateful for having been chosen as the President of The Korea Hapkido Federation, a glorious organization. I will do my best to exceed the expectations you had when you honored me with this position of power and responsibility.

I would like to thank Ex-President Oh, See Lim, who has led the KHF with  great integrity and has spent a great deal of his time and money to lead our federation over the last two decades.  I want to recognize the efforts and sacrifices he has made while leading our Federation.

I am neither a rich man, nor a professional businessman.  However, I had served as a head master in the police for thirty three years since being appointed as a police martial art instructor in 1964.  I have served in various positions within the KHF, including Director, special committee chairman, or as a board member, and while I serve as a special member of the senior committee, I am summoned to stand here today.

As we all know well, there are currently about sixty organizations including about fifty legitimate associations in contemporary Hapkido. This lack of unity makes me feel saddened as a senior of our art.
We have to do our best to stop this flow and we must try to unify Hapkido like we tried in 1973.  We, the Korea Hapkido Federation, must act to be the forerunners of this process.  For this to take place, we must act with all Hapkidoin around the world, to put fourth our best efforts to support my office while maintaining our true spirit as martial artists.

I will do my best to revitalize our organization. So, I entrust that you to give me all your consented power. For the everlasting prosperity of our Korea Hapkido Federation, let us march vigorously together. Thank you.

Kim, Jong Yun
President
Korea Hapkido Federation
