Dan Certification with KHF-USA
Dan Certification will be based upon evaluation by Grandmaster Rhoades and the evaluation committee.

How to apply for KHF Dan (black belt) Certificate
MUST PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING:
• Application Form
• Hapkido Training History
Transfer of current Dan certification to KHF certification or applying for a KHF
Dan testing requires submission of his/her training records, instructor(s) name and school(s) name and location
• Required Documentation
a) Copy of ALL Dan Certificates
b) Applicant's Hapkido Biography
How to request direct (simple) exchange/transfer of Dan certification
1st-3rd Dan
• Application Form
• Required Documentation
a) Copy of ALL Dan Certificates
b) Applicant's Hapkido Biography - to include starting time, teacher(s), school(s)
4th-7th Dan (see instructions below)
• Application Form
• Automatic transfer to current Dan rank is NOT permitted
• Must promote through current Dan rank testing to receive parallel ranking
• Must participate in and successfully complete Master's Seminar
How to request or achieve exchange/transfer
Current 2nd-3rd Dan
• Application Form
• Required Documentation
a) Copy of ALL Dan Certificates
b) Applicant's Hapkido Biography - to include starting time, teacher(s), school(s)
• Complete application process
• Must accomplish/fulfill the minimum time requirements for rank requested
Current 4th-7th Dan
• Application Form
• Required Documentation
a) Copy of ALL Dan Certificates
b) Applicant's Hapkido Biography
• Must complete Master's Seminar or be completely registered for the next one
• Must complete entire application process for exchange to the 'one-rank lower'
Dan
• Must test to the current rank Dan, according to KHF rules
• Must accomplish/fulfill the minimum time requirements for rank requested
• From 5th Dan and higher ranks, seminars are provided for test
